A Disheveled Refinement

As I previously mentioned in my first post, the internet (and blogosphere, to an extent) is beleaguered with many other "Society" blogs, a fact that almost dashed my dreams of creating my own in the first place. Recourse had its way (not including my recent stint of downtime over here - that's an entirely different animal) and I finally decided on a new name for this project. Much like the aptly termed "Artfully Disheveled" mantra that Magnificent Bastard is so well known for, my decision to change the name of my blog echoes that sentiment that I live by: the ability to dress well, yet remain controlled without appearing too stiff and high-strung. Thus, "A Disheveled Refinement" took the stage, a name that I believe is befitting for a guy of my character (notwithstanding my love design as a whole :]). As of this post, the name and domain are fully changed. Time to begin again folks!

While on the subject of beginnings, I've recently taken time to explore my options for bottoms (trousers, shorts, etc.). Although my current obsession dabbles in all thing slimming, this photo from The Sartorialist is opening my eyes for a roomier silhouette. Notice his trousers? They may be a bit too wide in the ankle for me (the details being of utmost importance), but that's nothing that a good tailor can't fix. Maybe the carrot fit (a generous cut in the seat/thigh area, with a constant slimming effect as it draws down the leg) could be something I could get accustomed to. S/S will be the time to shine :)
