Illesteva Lenox Detachable Front Square-Frame Sunglasses
$240 - mrporter.com
Sorry folks - I'm kinda through with heritage wear (for the moment at least). In this latest 'In The Mix' segment, I decided to follow the tried and true method of K.I.S.S (and this isn't the band btw <3) to get back into my roots. Its the acronym for 'Keep It Simple, Stupid' - a convention that's helped me in trying circumstances. Style wise, I've always been called a "prep" - although that label is slightly misleading, considering that I stray far away from madras prints, most classes of boat shoe and anything that seems too far off of my style compass (wide hemmed chino shorts for instance - these are items that I consider anathema). Nevertheless, I compiled an outfit that I believe is insanely versatile. The McQueen velvet blazer adds a lush touch to the relaxed oxford by Margaret Howell and the trousers will look just as elegant dressed up or toned down. Not quite partial to the loafer scene? Slap on a pair of your favorite sneakers (Jack Purcells are a good choice) to add head-turning street-wear appeal to this look. The addition of the Illesteva sunnies was a more of a personal style choice than a decision for cohesiveness. While I understand that everyone is jumping ship for those Ray-Ban aviators, I'm fighting to turn that trend on its head and let myself go against the grain of fashion (in a sense <3). Between a great tote or a folio, I usually opt for the latter (unless the occasion warrants its use). Want Les has a zippered one that works nicely with these loafers. There's no need for a rundown this time - the price points and garment names are all there. Just be sure to bag those Stubbs and Wootton loafers before I do. My finger is on the trigger for those bad boys!
Have a great day!
