Earlier in the year, I indicated my admiration for a few notable fashion labels and brands (Burberry Prorsum being the first of these few). Since LFW will come to an end today (with its culmination showcasing the menswear shows), I felt that this would be a good time to post a few looks from another designer that feel deserves special : Peter Jensen. His A/W show on Tuesday was astounding, to be frank. Quirky, yet structured, injecting casual tailoring to the nines, Peter Jensen illustrated to us the "humorous progression of fashionable nuance" (my amusing description of what I see :]). Ok, now for some pics <3

One can only imagine how (whenever it lands) his menswear A/W collection will turn out. Can't wait till then? You're just like me. Mum's the word until we see something later on during the year (wishful thinking).  :)
Have a great day! <3

It's here! Castiglioni's collab for H&M has finally surfaced, offering to many (myself included) the chance to sample it's pattern-y goodness (I honestly didn't know what else to call it :]). The brand itself, known worldwide for its unconventional injection of artistic flair on top of polished, minimalistic pieces, never fails to arrest the attention of buyers. Castilgioni's mantra may be summed up in a few words - whimsical, yet functional. On my top 5 favorite brands, Marni is somewhere close to the top and adding to the affordable nature of H&M's collections, understanding that this collab will be sold out soon is a no-brainer. Enough of the backstory though - here's a handful of looks that caught my eye <3

The men's selection, although quite limited in its outset, still echoes that masculine sentiment that so many designers are now putting forward (Thom Browne's 2012 collection anyone?). Cropped, slim-fitting trousers ( a wardrobe essential for the modern man, for sure) take the stage. Tops (pullovers, sweaters, tees, etc), of a slightly oversized nature, exhibit nuances less of structure and more of casual easiness. To be sure, pieces from Versace's Resort collab were a bit too bright in my eyes, yet Castiglioni manages to have fun while making the whole collection no nonsense.
For women, dresses are the focal point in this collection. Artsy prints take precedence under shirts that loudly exude floral dominance. Cropped shorts and minimally toned sandals complete what is altogether a very delicious selection of wardrobe staples (I'm actually jealous that my gf may find more statement pieces than me). But to continue...
Yes, NYFW has come and gone. Our designers in the States did a wonderful job. Now, it's time to see how our contemporaries overseas do fashion week!  We're in day 4 of this year's LFW and the number of brands (commercial, independent, etc.) are vast. Even bigger? The anticipation of what is to come! Celebs like Lizzie Olsen, Olivia Palermo, Bill Nighy and Diana Quick were all in attendance for shows including Izzie London, P+G, Vivienne Westwood (Red Label), Paul Smith and Twenty8Twelve were just a few shows to take note of from yesterday. Color me excited folks, because I literally can't wait to see what will go down the runways this week!  ( Tomorrow, I'll list a few other notable brands) <3
Have a great day :)
